Russian tsarevich from the Romanov dynasty, the only son of Tsar Fyodor III Alekseevich and Tsarina Agafya Semyonovna, nee Grushetskaya.
Tsarevich Ilya Fedorovich was named after his great-grandfather Ilya Danilovich Miloslavsky. The namesake saint is the prophet Elijah. Ilya Fedorovich was baptized by Patriarch Joachim in the Moscow Chudov Monastery. His mother, Agafya Semyonovna, died on the third day after giving birth on July 14 (July 24 OST) 1681 from postpartum fever. Ten days after his birth, he himself died, and did not reign. Buried on July 23, 1681 in the Archangel Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin. Later, another young prince, the second son of Peter I, Alexander Petrovich, was buried with Tsarevich Ilya.
